On one visit, we arrived about five minutes before opening, not realizing it, and decided to sit down to play pool. However, when the doors opened, the older lady greeted us in a rather rude manner. Although we were willing to wait since we could see that they were just getting the bar ready, she insisted that we had to wait to be served. Both of my coworkers and I felt that we were met with an immediate unfriendly attitude upon our arrival, which was disappointing.

The atmosphere varies from a cozy lounge to a lively dance club on the weekends. They offer a good selection of drinks, including beer from the local brewery, Nubrew. Just a heads up, a king can of Growers Stonefruit will cost you $11.75, so it's wise to stick with spirits and beer on tap. Prices tend to be higher, so don't hesitate to ask if you're unsure. There's also an in-house restaurant, and I can recall way too many wing nights spent here as well. The food is solid, typical pub fare. The decor features intriguing local animals—if you've never seen a muskox, you can say hello to one mounted inside! From wolves to polar bears to even a headless Arctic hare, they all make an appearance. If you're looking for locally made items, it's common for local artists to walk around selling their work. If you spot something you like, bartering is acceptable, but be careful—not acting quickly might mean losing out, as someone else could snatch it up while you're hesitating over saving that $10. There are servers who take orders, but it's usually quicker to go to the bar. Expect to line up, wait a bit, and soon you’ll be on your way to quenching your thirst. On busy nights, the line can even wind its way up the stairs!
