Ipswich Sports Grill

This is an amazing restaurant, but what truly makes it the BEST is my favorite bartender in the world! Make sure to ask for Janelle; she is simply incredible—attentive and one of the coolest, most dynamic people you’ll ever meet! Plus, they have pool tables, which is a nice bonus! The nachos are fantastic too, making this my favorite spot. I just wish it wasn’t so far away, but it’s absolutely worth the trip! I give it a 10 out of 10 and highly recommend it!

We were in town for a wedding and decided to stop by for drinks after the reception, and it turned out to be a fantastic choice. It's a perfect place to watch a game and unwind with reasonably priced drinks. The bartenders and servers were also very friendly.

Pros: The waitstaff was friendly and helpful, and the interior had a cool vibe with pool tables, arcade machines, and darts—definitely a fun spot for drinks. Cons: Unfortunately, the food was the worst I've ever had from a restaurant. My group of five placed a $100 takeout order, and every single item was at best a disappointment and, at worst, potentially unsafe to eat. We ordered two garden salads that were little more than a bowl of spring mix. The shrimp in one seemed okay, but the Buffalo chicken on the other was soft and tasted like a frozen Tyson chicken finger dipped in hot sauce. The three bowls of clam chowder were so thick they could be used to lay bricks. It stuck to the spoon, and one lid popped off in the bag on the way home without spilling. My mother even asked who ordered mashed potatoes when she opened one. The order of "totchos" was topped with cold, stiff cheese, black beans, canned corn, and pickled jalapeños. I can't believe they managed to ruin tater tots—there was no crispiness at all, and somehow, even with hot peppers, it was flavorless. We took turns trying the Loaded Nachos, and the responses ranged from "tastes exactly like cardboard" to "did they coat it with bug spray?" and "were these cooked in rancid oil?"—along with other unmentionable remarks. The chicken quesadilla was burnt, but otherwise, it was acceptable. One or more of us might feel inclined to report this food to the health department on Monday. I can’t see Ipswich Tavern surviving long if this is the best they can serve on a Saturday night.

Had the wings disappointed. Dry and not hot. Tasted like they were reheated. We will try again.

FILTHY place, patio and glass door along with windows you can barely see out of. Don’t believe they have a vacuum. Ordered beverages , service was good. Ordered nachos (plenty of chips, not much of toppings, chicken wings were cooked to perfection. We opted not to order any more food as the place was so dirty and the dirty mop bucket was right in view on the way into the kitchen. Sports bar ???Sunday afternoon , tv’s either off or on mute. Couldn’t have been more than ten patrons even with appetizers half price…. Parking area dirty as well.THIS PLACE NEEDS A MANAGERas it has POTENTIAL.
