What an absolutely wonderful dinner and evening out! We had such a nice time rediscovereing The Crest Gastropub as we haven't dinner here since late 2018. I ordered the delicious Goat Cheese Balls. The blackberry jam and honey were perfect with them and was really surprised with the lemon curd. It took it to the next level for me. I also ordered a Crest Burger and potato's. The potatoes had just the right amount of fried crunchy too. With the burger, the burger blend, the pickles, and the bun the whole meal really stood out. Special thank you to Molly our server. She was super cool and took great care of my partner and I. The menu is impressive but honestly only found a few items that really appealed to me but I made the right choices.

They have plenty of seating options and I love the covered patio seating outside, especially with a slight breeze from the early fall weather. And you can smell some of the herb that they planted around the patio. The vibe is very chill and comfy. My first experience with Appalachian cuisine and it is amazing. The server is very friendly and attentive. Sweet Corn Dip The dip is very rich and creamy. It have the sweet corn chow-chow and the sweet pepper relish, which add a hint of sweet and sour flavor to the dip. Fire Roasted Chicken I love this dish. It is super juicy and the skin a extremely crispy.

The Crest is a cozy little restaurant with the idea of making you feel more at home or almost as if you are in a four season room. Staff was very nice and was on point when it came to getting everything taken care of. Ended up getting the red birch beer to drink. It was crisp and delicious. I wish more companies would offer different types of sodas instead of the two main suppliers. For dinner I went with the Reuben and a Crest salad. I highly recommend this salad. The fresh fruits and nuts mesh so nicely with the lite dressing. I kinda wish I ordered more salad at this point. The Reuben was ok, typical Reuben nothing special about it. To me it was lacking the dressing. Most Reubens I've had would smack you in the face with the 1000 island dressing, to where this one just had a little but not even oozing out from the side. I probably should have asked for more dressing but that's on me. The only issue I had was parking. The parking lot only had about 10 to 12 parking spots. Luckily we called in to ask about parking and they said we could park just around the corner down the street.

First time visiting The Crest but wont be the last. It's a cute place with nice décor and friendly staff. We made a reservation but arrived earlier then our reservation time. We were seated right away. For Appetizer, we ordered the Crest salad and the corn dip. Both was delicious. For the Entrée, we ordered the walleye, the Crest burger, and the roasted chicken. Everything we ordered was delicious. However, the Walleye was by far my favorite. It was seasoned to perfection!. Definitely will be visiting there again to try our other food and highly recommend it

Thank you Yelp elite for allowing me to try this hidden gem in Clintonville! I live in the area and this would not have been the first place I would have gone to eat so it was a great find. I ordered the tequila and sweet corn dip. Both were great! I think I would've enjoyed the corn dip if it had a little more of that red sauce on it and more corn in it. The portion size is appropriate if you were to share this with someone as an appetizer. Overall, a lot of vegetarian options which I really appreciated. My waitress was Abby and she was very attentive and kind. The atmosphere is bright, clean, and they have outdoor seating! I love the way they styled the place from floors to ceiling. Also, I happened to stumble upon their happy hour menu which looked AMAZING. I will definitely be coming back during happy hour (Monday 4-10, T&TH 4-6) with my partner. Who can beat those deals?!? Look at my photo for reference! I think during regular hours, it may not be worth it but doesn't hurt to try this place!!
