Kuro Neko Cake Studio

Deborah Li is not only an artist but an actual wizard, and Kuro Neko Cake Studio is her tower of magic. My wife and I were lucky enough to commission a cake from Kuro Neko for our wedding, and it turned out that one of the best parts of the whole reception was telling people that, yes, it really is cake! (I'm still not sure that my wife's grandma believes us. When we asked for a book cake, we knew it would be beautiful, but upon seeing it the morning of, we were absolutely blown away. The colors, the sculpting, and how it all fit together as a piece of art left us without words. And, somehow, it tasted as good as it looked. As for the process, Deborah was wonderful to work with: attentive, keen to get the personal details just right, and fantastically friendly and supportive. Thanks in no small part to her artistry and amazing work, our wedding day was completely magical!

Deborah was wonderful to work with- we wanted a somewhat unique cake and when I saw her work on instagram I knew that I had to work with her! I loved seeing what she came up with and how she tied together so many different parts of our wedding decor together. The flavors were great, we had such a hard time picking between them. She also made it easy to rent a cake stand from her so I didn’t have to find one and risk it not fitting the cake. Would definitely recommend her!

Our wedding cake was the most fantastically beautiful thing I had ever seen we were pretty vague on design preferences and she knocked it out of the park. The flavors we tried were all incredible, but highly recommend the brown butter sweet corn (tastes like a light, buttery toffee kettle corn . The price was more than reasonable for a cake with such obvious care taken at every step, and communication and drop off were flawless. Such an incredible addition to our wedding day :
