No opinions regarding the convenience store's offerings are expressed. I was so excited to read this CU article about delicious Pakistani food being available at a convenience store near me I went as soon as I could, and honestly, so should you! If you love Tandoori Grill on Bethel or haven't been there because it's too far away, this is the perfect opportunity to try its food during the lunch hour. Ideally, this would be a 3.5 star review, but I'm rounding it up because of the convenience factor. During my visit, I tried the samosa, chickpea curry, rice, and chicken seekh kebab. The seekh kebab was the star; perfectly spiced and amazingly tender. I've had so many disappointingly dry seekh kebabs, but this was was pure perfection. Next time, I'm just getting this with rice. The chickpeas and rice were good too. Loved the samosa, though it could be a tad less oily. But, heck, I chose to have fried food. My meal also came with a side salad with an Italian vinaigrette odd choice . The salad is typically also served in the brick and mortar location and serves as a nice palate cleanser there. But since the operation in the convenience store is takeout only, getting a dressed salad, which is limp by the time I eat it, doesn't quite make sense to me. My meal cost $12, and I would've gladly paid a little less to forego the salad. Overall, a nice addition to the downtown lunch scene, which sadly lacks good Indian food. Don't get me started on Indian Oven. Just no.
The owner's wife prepares delicious samosas and a variety of other Indian dishes.
I paid $2.68 (including tax) for a pack of Eclipse gum. At Kroger, the regular price is $1.19 (and they’re on sale for just $1). While I understand this is a convenience store, the more than 100% markup is excessive, regardless.
The food he serves is absolutely delicious—spicy, warming, and rich in flavor. The samosas are exceptional, and the Tandoori-style chicken and sides are packed with taste. Considering it’s a convenience store, the freshness of the food is impressive. Although the food is mainly prepared for takeout, there are tables available down the hall and outside for those who prefer to dine in. I highly recommend giving this place a try. The Pakistani food is served from 11 AM to 2 PM, Tuesday through Friday.
This is the best store with the most exceptional service! Nadin is incredibly kind and truly cares about his customers. If you take the time to get to know him, you'll be glad you did. His shop offers a fantastic variety of items, and he is always there with a smile every day. His store was open when nothing else in the Sheraton was, making it so convenient to grab snacks and drinks for our room. He was especially sweet to my 2-year-old niece, gifting her an alabaster turtle and elephant in exchange for just a hug! If kindness makes the world go round, Nadin is definitely doing his part! Thank you, Nadin!
