Daydrink - Iowa City

The best coffee shop in the area and these guys can compete with the best baristas in the nation (and they do, in actual competitions). Their choice of coffee beans (some of which are roasted in house) is great and they do espresso and espresso drinks really well. Unlike most coffee shops, these guys use light/medium roasted specialty coffee for their espresso which makes the (oat) milk based drinks even more complex and not bitter.In addition, the warm atmosphere and friendly staff make it a perfect spot to unwind. I highly recommend this coffee shop for a delightful coffee experience! ?????

I love coming here. It's my favorite spot to get a chai in town because it's not too sweet, not too spicy. They have a jar program that encourages people to be more mindful of their impact on the environment which I think is awesome! While it does cost more than I would like, I'm okay with it because I want to support any local business owners. Cheers to Daydrink, thanks for being an awesome local spot.

Such a gem in the Iowa City ped mall! The vegan scones are my favorite!

LOVE Daydrink. It's tricky to find if you're a first timer, so just trust your Maps and walk through Basic Goods (the plant and everything else shop) to get to Daydrink. The staff were super friendly and helpful for a first timer like myself. The vibe was incredible with a handful of two person tables against the window surrounded by plants. They have some light food but don't expect to leave with a full meal. Coffee is served in glass jars that you can bring back (or just bring your own reusable cup) for a discount.
