The Escargot was tasteless with a thought blanket of barely warm cheese. The Greek salad was not what I would expect from Davison, but a fast food chain. The main rib was okay, but definitely not what I've experienced before. The Bruschetta was soggy and the taste was overwhelmed by heavy olive oil. I hope this last visit is an anomaly as I hate losing Davison as one of my favorite places.
Had dinner here. Nice restaurant. Food was nothing special. The service was very bad. They waited for the first round of drinks for many minutes, they forget our second round. Were they busy? Not just a few of us. I'm going back to see if it was an event or this place is like that. I've been undermining more than a little. I know it's better.
We reached with a little more than 2 weeks in a pandemic to receive my daughters wedding. What can I say he and his staff pulled out all the stations! As a small intimate group of guests, Dan ensured that our experience has left us with lifelong memories. The food of the service and atmosphere was exactly what we all needed in this difficult year. Thank you, Dan.
My family went to late lunch on Saturday 14 November. I have never been forced to write a restaurant review before....but the extremely bad quality of food combined with annoying prices... let me warn innocent people. I was really looking for soup and sandwich for me. They were made of French onion and the mushroom/blue cheese option was not attractive. I chose chicken fingers and pommes... What came was 3 frozen chicken fingers and double fried pommes. For $15. Practically impossible... My daughters Yorkshire filled Prime Rib? Looks like a bunch of shaved rubber. So fat. Tasteless and also inedible....$18. The garlic bread with cheese? $9! Each of the six pieces? Was the size of a quarter... a piece of a baguette... in half. Such a full order was cut 3 tiny slices of a baguette in half. The serving plates were gigantic and unnecessary, which were brought to the table for one bite garlic bread. The waitress confirmed that the order...$9. For 6 bites The other 3 orders were much the same. We went home hungry. Must order pizza... tell that a food dinner for 5 people was good over $100. The waitress took off the Yorkshire pudding. Please don't eat here. Food quality is terrible and prices are exaggerated.
We had an amazing early Father's Day celebration at Davidson's on June 20th. Dan and his team never fail to make our dining experience feel like coming back home again. The service was amazing, both Sheila and Doreen went out of their way for not...just our table but those around us as well. The food was amazing! We ordered many appetizers (crab cakes, garlic shrimp, escargot) that were all to die for. The schnitzel was incredible. The food alone has brought us back time and time again but the people who bring the place to life is the main reason for our return. Growing up at the point, Dan and his whole team have been apart of my life for a long time. You will not find a team that is as kind, dedicated and perserving as the people at Davidson's. Even through a global pandemic, they are coming out strong!
