Hakataya Ramen Indooroopilly

The first hakataya I visited I wasn’t so impressed, however after today I have changed my mind! The soup was quite tasty, noodles cooked well and the char shiu pork melts in your mouth. Soup was a littlebit on the salty side but still enjoyable. Staff here are also lovely and despite it being really busy we were served promptly. Overall there are tastier ramen stores out there but hakataya will still satisfying the craving

Delicious and satisfying! I had the Miso Spicy Ramen and I couldn’t leave a single drop of soup in my bowl! The soup’s flavor was perfectly balanced, the noodles were tender, and the char siu pork just melted in my mouth. I also enjoyed the complimentary ginger pickles and spicy dried radish. The service was fast and efficient, which I really appreciated. All the seasonings, cutlery, and drinking water were readily available. The only minor issue was that the soup was a bit greasy and not served hot enough. Overall, a great experience!

Karaka-Men is my favorite! It has the perfect level of spiciness, and I always enjoy the complimentary noodles to soak up all the delicious broth at the end. The staff at the Indooroopilly location are friendly and polite. It's definitely one of my top spots for authentic Japanese ramen.

So, I decided to try the Miso Spicy Men, which includes seaweed, hoping the addition of miso and chili would spice things up a bit. And wow, did that turn out to be the right choice! The broth for the Miso Spicy Men is amazing, boasting multiple layers of flavor with the perfect blend of tonkotsu, miso, and chili. It’s a true explosion of umami. One tip I have is to order it with extra pork; that was an excellent decision. I also recommend requesting the shredded seaweed topping to be served on the side instead of directly on top. During my first order through Deliveroo, I got a little too excited and dumped all the seaweed into my bowl. This unfortunately overwhelmed the fantastic combination of pork broth, miso, chili, kaedama, and the sweet melt-in-your-mouth char siu. So, add the seaweed gradually, and you’re in for pure bliss. Having tried the spicy miso, I won’t be going back to the original tonkotsu; I’ll be visiting Hakataya Indro ALL THE TIME now! I savored every last drop from my bowl. It’s incredibly good and absolutely a must-try!
