The District Tap - Indianapolis

It is one of our favorite places to eat. Great food and great service, plus multiple TVs to enjoy every televised sporting events.

The atmosphere is wonderful, the food is tasty, and there's a solid beer selection. I'm a fan of DT, but today's service left much to be desired. It wasn't a busy Friday, and I sat at the bar, where my drink order was taken right away. However, after that, there was no follow-up. For the next 20 minutes, I didn't receive a food menu or any check-ins to see if I needed anything. Instead, I was just left with a receipt sitting in a glass in front of me.

We visited this restaurant to celebrate a birthday, and unfortunately, the service was quite slow and unresponsive. We found ourselves having to make requests multiple times. Additionally, we were misinformed about certain charges and holds on our credit cards, and we were taken aback by a 24% mandatory gratuity. While I have no issue with tipping for good service, I believe that when dining in a restaurant, basic service should be included with the meal. Tipping should be reserved for exceptional service, not for poor experiences simply because we were present.

Our server mentioned that she only works once or twice a week, but she was very knowledgeable and had a great energy. I found myself laughing and enjoying our conversation, and to my surprise, the food was absolutely delicious.

Food was kind of bland. Don't get the pork nachos, they had no flavor.
