Nick's Chili Parlor - Indianapolis

Nick's Chilli is the best in town! The food is always served hot, fresh, and, most importantly, it is absolutely delicious.

Nick's is well-known for their chili, but their chili dogs are also excellent. Today, I tried the Classic Chili Dog and it was incredibly delicious. I highly recommend it!

The portions were generous and the seasoning was just right. However, the chili and the French fries were not served hot. It seems I may have visited during a less favorable moment.

Our last three visits all of the silverware was dirty, I asked for clean and was told the machine wasn’t cleaning them right and to get plastic at the register. Our last visit this last week, silverware once again was dirty, I had to take our silverware in to the restroom and wash it just to eat. It’s almost $21.00 for 2 bowls of chili and I get dirty silverware? I should note that I have been a patron of Nicks fir almost 40 years

The service was absolutely everything. The chili dog was amazing and just what I was expecting AND what the doctor ordered. The fries were hot and dropped while we waited and soda had an extra crisp. The pie tho...I don't believe it was the pie I asked for. I asked for sweet potato but was given God only knows what. The restaurant just opened back up after renovations, not sure if the funds ran out but they probably could close again for more renovations. I don't know if I'll dine in anymore but I will order again just not the pie.
