Contribuiți la feedbackWe decided to celebrate my birthday with MacNiven this year. It was at least 11 years since my last visit and that was too long. When I was working in downtown, MacNiven was in our regular lunch rotation when it was a favorite of many in our office. In anticipation, visions of Macniven's earlier favorites danced in my head. From our party of 5 I was the only person with previous experience in the restaurant, but I had built the mystique so much, there was pressure to supply. We started with the Scotch egg remover and we were not disappointed. It was fantastic and well paired with sharp red pepper diving sauce. Entrees included the plate-sized Burgerfries, the Belhaven beer bestows chicken sandwich, the Belhaven beer bestows fish and chips, the steak beer with puff bakery topping, and my long-term favorites of the Röstefs Machatten. Two of us have opted for a lateral order of onion rings that are more the size of a donut! Everyone was filled with his choices and satisfied, and we all agreed that we should return more often. Kudos to Katie for exactly the right amount of service at the right time. Oh, and if you fight to make a dessert selection, the chocolate fudge cake alamode is wonderful!
We had the vegetarian curry, Clam Chowder and Shrimp chips. Everything was excellent AND the owner brought out the food and told us a little about where he came from. Service was amazing. HIGHLY recommend
My husband and I were here twice from my parents' recommendation! Both times super good food/drinks and the fastest service where we have been, and we travel everywhere! My husband got the fish and chips both times and loved them. I had the raw beef Manhattan for the first time, which was wonderful and very filled and got the shrimps and chips for the second time, which are good and very full. Your bread pudding was fantastic!! This last time we have the onion rings and some of the best we have eaten! All right! Everyone was nice and friendly both times at the entrance. If you need a hearty delicious food and a short time, this is your place!
Scottish American Pub-style restaurant. I've been through Devour Indy. The food and the atmosphere were great and very fast. Looks like there are local and non-local beer types. There were some food options for people who may not like Scottish. Will definitely go back!
Live nearby but never tried it because it always looked busy, and I haven't been impressed by the American options in Indy so far. Well, I was talking with someone who grew up in Columbus, IN, and she mentioned it, so we decided to try it on our walk down Mass Ave yesterday. What an amazing value. Appetizer, two entrees, and a dessert for $30! High quality for each course too. Signage on masks is very clear, and wait staff were professional.
