La Corona - Indianapolis

I decided to give this restaurant a try and ordered a burrito along with two tacos. Unfortunately, the burrito was lacking in flavor, and the beans and meat inside were unremarkable. On the side, there was a small salad with just a tiny amount of dressing—barely noticeable—and a single slice of Roma tomato. I cannot recommend this restaurant.

I finally decided to try this restaurant, and I was not disappointed! The service was quick and friendly, which I really appreciated. The food was delicious and truly authentic. The guacamole was spot on, having just the right hint of jalapeño without being overpowering. The beans and rice were served warm and had the perfect consistency—not too dry and not overly mushy. The chicken tacos were decent, though nothing extraordinary, but I would definitely return for another visit. My family enjoyed the margaritas and horchata, which are essential to get everyone on board for another trip here.

The menu boasts a variety of authentic Mexican options without being overwhelming. There are 13 lunch choices, each served with rice and beans, and many dishes caught my eye. On my first visit, I decided to try the tacos, priced at $3 each. I ordered two carne asada tacos and one chorizo. After placing my order, I was served freshly fried tortilla chips, although they had quite a bit of oil on them. The salsa bar, while not extensive, offered five or six types of salsa that were delicious and tasted fresh, indicating they were homemade. The tacos came without any toppings other than heaps of meat, which were complemented by the toppings available at the salsa bar: onions, cilantro, radish slices, pickled onions, and chili peppers, all of which were very fresh. The chorizo was particularly impressive, the best I’ve had in quite some time—I regretted not ordering a second one. However, the carne asada was a bit dry and tough to chew, even after adding salsa—I found myself doing a fair amount of chewing to get through them. They offer bottled Mexican sodas, fountain drinks, bottled water, sweet tea, and it seemed like alcoholic beverages were available, though I didn’t look too closely. I will definitely return to explore more of the menu.

As a Mexican some Mexican restaurants aren't that good but this one is pretty good. They have a decent selection of food, they even have tamales, I would definitely recommend oh and the waiter/cashier is really nice

Superb. The salsa bar is truly one of a kind: fresh, plentiful and tasty. Chicken Milanese is truly the best I have had in a long long time. Everything made to order, service is quick and efficient. We love the appetizers and the desserts as well. We come back again and again.
