Caplinger's Fresh Catch - Indianapolis

The food was fantastic. As someone from the Midwest, I can't claim to be an expert on what makes a good lobster roll, but I can say that this one was incredible! And that platter… even though they provide sauce, everything was incredibly flavorful and juicy. It’s a really great spot with awesome, friendly staff. I highly recommend visiting this place!

This restaurant is fantastic! They serve some of the best fried fish I've had in Indiana, and the service is outstanding. We ordered some clam chowder to take home, and they provided us with ice to keep it fresh during our outing. The staff is knowledgeable about seafood and offers great cooking tips. Everyone is very friendly, and the food is exceptional.

Still amazing!!! We absolutely love this restaurant and we're really grateful they opened a new location on the south side. I devoured my chicken sandwich and hush puppies before I even had a chance to snap a photo, haha! I did manage to capture the calamari, as well as the Basa fish and shrimp dinner with okra (which was incredible) and fries. You definitely won’t regret choosing this place!

We decided to stop by for a fish meal, and we were pleasantly surprised. The Clam Chowda did not disappoint. It was chock full of clams and potatoes, deliciously creamy and chock full of great flavor. The Tuna Melt was so delicious. The tuna had lots of well balanced flavors from the spices and herbs. Surrounded by melted American cheese, and a soft pillowy toasted bun. This was my first time trying a calamari steak and it was awesome. The two steaks were perfectly cooked,and downright delicious. I had one coated in Creole, and the second one was blackened. The corn bread was firm yet soft, the collard greens were perfectly cooked and seasoned. I enjoyed dipping the Buffalo fries, which were perfectlyseasoned, into the spicy remoulade sauce. So worth the visit.

I just can't stress enough how good the grouper sandwich was.When we walked in the guy was filleting a beautiful red grouper and they fried it right up for us.The bun was perfect, the toppings were fresh, and the fish was seasoned just right.I didn't even know that you could find fresh grouper in Indiana.All the fresh fish in the counter was beautiful and the smell when you walked in was wonderful.Its really mainly a fish market, but they've got small tables around theoutside of the room so you can eat there or take it out.
