Rae's Cafe - Independence

Some ppl like it , however the food is so lame , takes a long time to get it.

First time I've been here and I actually have no complaints. Service was ok, could've been friendlier, but they were pretty busy. Food was great. My lifelong, elderly friend, Larry, wasn't impressed at all and he eats at Englewood Cafe everyday!!

I had a chili dog meal. I ordered this thinking it would be a small meal. It wasn't. Waitress was attentive without bothering us. Prices are a bit high. Political opinions posted on the whiteboard may be offensive to some. I wasn't offended, but more surprised than anything.

I had been impressed with this place but, I called in an order for pick-up today. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich. I was asked, do you want pickles, onions, and tomato? Yes. Do you want mustard and mayonnaise? I said only mayonnaise.Went to pick-up my order and saw a sign that if you use a debit or credit card you will be charged 4 percent more. I asked what is the 4 percent more for? The lady told me it was because the company where they got the device charged them that. That adenoid me right off. I got home, the pickle, onion, and tomato was under the sandwich which made the bottom bun soggy. I told them I wanted mayonnaise, I got mustard. No napkins.For the price we pay I feel like these things should be right. Now, 4 percent more for using credit card? Not impressed!!!

I never realized this was the same establishment that Jackson County shut down due to masking. Now that the actual evidence is out, Jackson County should give them all the lost revenue.
