We did our little research on this place. the reviews of what we read and the actual experience is on the point! we even prepared so much that we didn't eat breakfast. they serve delicious food at a reasonable price. the servings are also great as the bark was good for 2 on the menu, but the actual portion was good for 3. the inner of the place is simple and modernist. we ordered the crab, bark meat and of course the famous pfan cake. you have to try the crawler, I don't know if he has to be eaten like this, but the crab was so soft that we didn't want to take her off, we ate her right away.
Their services are good to share. tries must include the four cheese pizza, burger and fresh salads. the prices are moderately expensive, but they get their money worth.
It's nice to see a modern place like this in Iloilo, given there are many challenges to starting such an ambitious new business here. First of all, the decor is very clean, nostalgic, and inviting. A lot of work went into the interior design and it shows. I arrived with two others for a late meal but were greeted and seated promptly. The first dish we ordered, a local specialty called bulalo, was outstanding. Tender beef shank in a rich sauce with potatoes and a few other veggies. The presentation was also stellar. Unfortunately, the pizza fell flat here. Very flat. The crust looked and tasted like a soft scone. I couldn't perceive any yeast whatsoever. It had no pop. Whoever is in charge of making this dough has no understanding of the chemistry of bread. I've lived in New York for 7 years, probably the 2nd best place to eat pizza in the world. Even pizza I've had at various fast food places in Iloilo was better. I haven't had a chance to try their brunch yet. I'll report back, hopefully with better news. Lastly, although the waitstaff was attentive, they seemed a bit clumsy and underprepared. It took the waiter several trips to figure out what kind of wine they had. He eventually just brought the 2 bottles to me. Also, I was given a very short pour. Maybe a little more than half of a normal pour of red wine. The pizza might be a hard fix, but teaching someone how to pour a glass of wine shouldn't be. Update: came here a second time, for brunch. Ham and cheese omelette was very simple. Not much cheese and the ham was brownish/gray. The French toast was much better. They did oversoak the bread though and it was rather soggy, more like a pudding.
