Maddys Chippy - Ilfracombe

I enjoyed a beautiful, classic plate of fish and chips featuring plaice. The service was quick, and they took proper social measures to ensure safety. The menu was good with generous portions, although I found the plaice a bit too oily and not fully utilized. Overall, it was a positive experience. They also had high chairs available, and the place was clean and sanitary.

By far the best fish and chips in Ilfracombe, fish is lightly battered and it’s a cute little eating hole. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Highly recommend

YES I am back again Too long time. Having Classic Fish and Chips with Bake Beans and a little salad. Eat the salad first then put Beans on my Chips. It's the way I like them. The service was friendly and quick and later asked if everything was OK. Yes there's gossip but it is one of your Local Best Fish and Chip Restaurant.

Ate here last night and the food was amazing, i waited a while as the shop was really busy so if you want to be in and out call an order in advance, amazing fresh food… you can park on the quay nearby and eat your chips right next to the marina at sunset

I had the best battered fish! The batter was light and crispy, and the cod was incredibly white – absolutely perfect. The chips were also excellent. Thank you, Maddy's, for a fantastic fish and chips meal in beautiful Ilfracombe!
