Altitude At The Columbia Icefields

The food was great and the service was good, but the restaurant itself was freezing cold. It wasn't very crowded, yet it was still quite loud.

If you have dietary restrictions, I would advise caution when visiting this restaurant. As someone with celiac disease, I require a strict gluten-free diet. Although many menu items were initially labeled as gluten-free, I later learned from the server that several of these "gluten-free" options actually contained gluten. This left me with very few choices, and unfortunately, I ended up feeling quite ill that evening. It was clear that the food labeled as "gluten-free" was not safe for me. The next morning, I had to spend $19 for just two slices of gluten-free bread and some speck. While this place aims for a gourmet experience, it ultimately falls short in delivering a satisfactory dining experience.

The staff is fantastic, but the food was just okay. The service was excellent.

The server we had was really nice, but the food for a buffet were not great. they did not get much of a selection for a buffet especially for the price of $35 sad. I would recommend if this is your first time in the Columbia ice fields and they want to eat something, but would not recommend dining here daily.

Wonderful food. Excellent staff. Beautiful restaurant.
