Contribuiți la feedbackThe food was very good and reasonably priced, the food wasn't amazing but our overall night there was very enjoyable. The owner was very friendly and we arrived early whilst they were still setting up and the restaurant wasn't even open but they let us come in and sit whilst we waited. The restaurant is in the middle of nowhere in a residential part of town it was a miracle our taxi driver found it and on approach it looks like an abandoned warehouse (very charming actually) it is a semi open air restaurant with barbecues outside. The owner made good recommendations and the service was quick, only snag is that we couldn't pay by card in the end as the wifi wasn't working but this happens to us in Europe so no worries
We found this wonderful restaurant trough TripAdvisor. Although we were the only ones there on a Friday evening (don't know why 'cause the food is amazing!) we weren't concerned about the food at the restaurant since we read a bunch of good comments about it. And we were right, we didn't get disappointed at all! I had the homemade raviolis with cheese and spinach and a delicious champignon sauce!! And my partner had the lomo with some rice and potatoes (big portions)! The owner of the restaurant was really friendly, he also took our orders. The prices are normal, not too cheap and not too expensive! I would do anything to have a another dish of those raviolis (and I'm very picky when it comes to food).. so vamos to FORJA! :) oh, and they used a lot of recycled wood for the tables and for the bar! It looks really cool! They even prepared it themselves!
Definitely not the sort of place you'd expect to find in the desert city of Ica. And, a fantastic place for drinks, food and socializing. We go to Ica on work a couple of times a year. Between my team and I we've been to every place in the city that is worth dining. A super foodie staff went to Forja and said we had to go on our next trip. We went, and it was awesome. We went on a late night. A Tuesday I think. The place was practically empty - sans a couple of business folks sharing a after work drink and a table of wealthy Limenas. The food was terrific; but the interesting mixology of bar drinks was the best part. They made a spectacular Pisco Sour - and that is a rare find outside of a major city in Peru. In addition, they have a couple of interesting drinks that bring together an assortment of ingredients from around the coast. All and all - I know where I'll be going when we're back in Ica. Forja is - as another TripAdvisor reviewer called it - "a hidden gem."
We were recommended this restaurant by our friends. we were not disappointed ,the menu had been cleverly put together, offering a wide range of dishes with twists on local cuisine which showed a very inventive interpretation. They have an authentic pizza oven for those who wish to eat something more familiar. I have to mention the excellent cocktails on offer, again showing a lot of interesting combinations of flavour. The sevice was very good watched over by a very attentive manager
My cousin and I were touring the Huacachina, and decided to check what is good in Ica! We came across Forja, and decided to give it a shot we order both "rondas" kind of like an appetizer sampler, and loved them! We also had a few cocktails which have very clever names, and are so unique and delicious! The owner was there and always made sure we had everything we needed, very friendly!! It is definitely worth going to, you won't be disappointed!
