Loma Wasi Village - Ibarra

It would be hard to overdo my joy, to spend an evening with mercedes and their daughter isabel, as well as isabel's children and eight months old dalya. it was an additional pleasure to meet her son rolando and his beautiful woman, yuri. in the village with rolando walking, and later, alone, I found people very friendly, and rolando and his wife taught me a lot about the village life, the organization of the village and the relations between people and how the “mami” (cooperative labor efforts) works in their community. later, mercedes and I had a long talk about the hardening and the joys of “work the animals” and a life as village farmers. Finally, the support with a few simple tasks and playing with the children to visit an additional sense, while constantly on the beauty and majestic of mt. imbabura, and the occasional view of cotacachi made the whole visit a wonderful experience!

A peaceful place with a fantastic view in an indigenous community. it is a family stay with the opportunity to help with their daily work. they can collect with all of the feeding of animals, harvested from cultures, mussel beans firewood, help the food etc. the family is very open and I really felt at home during my stay. I recommend staying at least one week as there is a lot to do and see in the cotacachi area and there are times for them to immerse themselves in community life.

It was a wonderful experience for me mercedes n daughter isabel worked hard to see my comfort. raum n eating was very adequate n well prepared. it lived with a family n I loved it. I came as client n felt that I went as a family member. I will highly recommend this stay n experience. I lived the Inca Village experience, not only with mercedes, isabel, cesar n ali, but also the larger community. damian, a young guide of the village, made me his group. we all glued eat curry pork that I cooked for 15. I was sad to go after 4 days. the village is also close to a beautiful small clean city called cotocachil with good cheap food, internet cafes, super markets etc. thank you. mercedes n daughter isabel n sees you again. rave raghavan

Bakan! for all those who are looking for a quiet place in the middle of nature serrana loma wasi in the community of tunibamba just 10 minutes from cotacachi to the north of the city of quito in the equator. One will have the drop of walking along so beautiful paths and contemplating unbelievable views in any direction, to me what I got the most was to observe the taita volcano imbabura and eternal caretaker of those lands, not to mention also the sleeping at the feet of the cotacachi vocán. for those who want inner search days, or just get away from the noise and the citing chaos, don't think about it anymore and visit this beautiful place.
