Cornelius - Iaşi

Restaurant minunat. Personal încântător. O gamă foarte largă de preparate, chiar și pentru meniul de prânz. Multe opțiuni vegetariene. Coș generos de pâine caldă și delicioasă. Prezentarea foarte plăcută. Prețuri excelente!

Mâncarea a fost ok. Vistierele erau puțin zgomotoase. Restaurantul are acum jumătate din dimensiunea pe care o avea în 2013. Nu este cel mai bun restaurant din Iași, dar merită o vizită într-o ședere mai lungă pentru a gusta mâncarea românească.

Chelnerii sunt reci, mâncarea deloc ok, restaurantul nu foarte curat, raportul calitate-preț nu este bun! Niciodată nu voi mai reveni!

The restaurant is clean enough and the tables well laid out. The menus are in English and Romanian which is just as well as the staff dont speak english. The food was not what we ordered from the menu, we ordered 200g steak but where presented with three slices of roast beef hid under a large amount of sauce. The service was extremely poor, the restaurant was empty but the waitress gave the impression we were an inconvenience to her. I wont be going back.

“Cornelius” is a nice (and quite large - two floors, open view from the upper floor) restaurant, with an impressive menu – way more options than at a Canadian chain restaurant. You can have even venison or pheasant, but for a NON-fine cuisine I’d recommend the (very rustic) “tochitura moldoveneasca” (and not diet-y either).Each visit I’ve also tried the grilled (pork) brains. Service was great but at the time the restaurant was pretty empty, I can’t comment how it goes when crowded.Warning: smoking might haunt you everywhere in Romania (except airports now), there might be a separate non-smoking salon but don’t count on its existence or being really smoke-free (anti-smoking restrictions in Romania are often just lip service to EU regulations).On weekends it might be reserved for weddings, best bet is on weekdays.Prices are rather medium/low for a travelIer from Western Europe/North America, different story if local wages.
