Cute market that sells sandwiches, flatbreads and local wine, beers and ciders. Sandwiches are well made, flatbreads are tasty and staff friendly, knowledgeable and willing to help in decision making. On this visit the only disappointing thing was a soup billed as Oma Opas soup. This was last chunks of turnip in hot water and the flavor could be best described as murky. But the really good cookies and blackberry ice cream made up for it!

The smash burger was delicious, but I was disappointed that there were no fries or chips offered. The beans were overly salty, and the dining room where I ate was uncomfortably hot. I felt that the $21 I spent was more appropriate for a $12 meal. Additionally, I witnessed a woman get a bag of ice from the freezer and drop it on the dirty floor multiple times to break it up, which was quite off-putting. I won't be returning for drinks or beans, and I'm also puzzled as to why there are no chips available for purchase.

This is truly one of the best places to eat in Texas, especially along the wine country stretch of Hwy 290. The staff is friendly, and Matt is an incredible chef! Some of the finest sandwiches and burgers I’ve ever had come from this restaurant, and they offer a great selection of local wines and beers to complement your meal. The establishment is located in the historic old post office, which they've maintained mostly as it was, providing a wealth of original and fascinating decor and furniture inside. If you're in the area and looking for a place to eat, make sure to visit Hye Market. You won’t regret it!

Open Friday to Sunday, everything is fantastic! Cold beer and burgers, what’s not to love? The smash burger is amazing, and the meatloaf with mashed potatoes is a must-try!

On top of that, there was a concerning health issue when a staff member retrieved a bag of ice from the freezer and threw it on the dirty floor multiple times to break it apart. Not ideal. I won't be returning for drinks or beans. Also, why aren't there any chips for sale?
