If they are aware of eco-health, they simply cannot miss a trip to say (or three). during her Hyderabad stay. so comfortable with a natural health food organic pantry next door. seriously, drive there and wonder what happens in india!
Hyderabad’s truly organic farm-to-table spot caters to vegans, offering delectable dishes based in culinary flavors of India with a whole new twist. The vegan pizza will literally melt in your mouth. There is no other place like this in Hyderabad.
A legitimate farm to table restaurant that is the real organic deal. Sage's chef Kavitha is a mastermind whose Indian-Western Fusion recipes are as unique as they are palatable. If you do nothing else in Hyderabad but come eat at Sage, you'll have made your trip worthwhile. In a city filled with restaurants that cater mostly to meat-eaters and unconscious consumers (those who don't really care for the quality of the food or where it is sourced from), it is fantastic to have Sage as an option. The staff is extremely friendly and the food is always freshly prepped. All items on the menu are made from ingredients sourced from their own farm. The atmosphere is a sanctuary and great to hold meetings (formal and informal) in. The vegan pizza, bisibellebath and pesarettu Salad are must order items.
This place is the best vegan/vegetarian restaurant in Hyderabad, a must visit for anyone. Chef Kavitha is an MBA from Cambridge University, but is totally passionate about ingredients and cooking, and it shows. When I went, she was shuttling between cooking in the kitchen and personally bringing the food out to customers and chatting to them about organic and vegan. About half the menu is vegan by design, and most of the rest can be done vegan or lacto-vegetarian. The pizzas are simply amazing. Freshly harvested greens from their own organic permaculture farm, freshly made dough, and cheese from their own free-range buffaloes (optional), and heirloom tomatoes I've never seen before in Hyderabad. Kombucha is made in house, as are a large variety of fermented vegetables. This place is a food-overs delight. The attached store and farm work on a CSA model, and Kavitha invited us to visit the farm (30 minutes away) for open house any Sunday. All in all, this is a thoroughly California-organic-vegan experience. Much needed in Hyderabad!
A beautiful farm featuring a unique selection of exotic products. It is slightly pricier, but definitely worth a visit at least once.
