Contribuiți la feedbackAfter the Holiday Cape Cod Symphony Concert we drove only 4 minutes away to Bristro de Soleil The food ,atmosphere , and European slow style of dining was an added pleasure Before dinner we had time to talk about the highlights of the concert When our meals came the presentation was a work of art and a labor of love Happy Holidays and enjoyed meeting you after our meal at the bar area Jackie Soltys a very satisfied customer
As I begin this review, let me say kudos to the management for a prompt and seemingly decisive action they took in response to my wife 's review. We had a less than stellar performance from our waiter, and she made everyone aware of this fact in her post. My reaction was identical to hers as well. I do not enjoy telling people how to do their job or speak to their boss, possibly getting them in trouble or fired. I was seriously considering speaking to the manager about him, especially after she suggested a dessert and behind her back he made a it 's nasty face after she described the dish. But even more so, I do not like bad/rude servers. At certain restaurants a level of professionalism, or lack of is understandable due to the type of eatery itself. I 've had amazing and horrible wait service at many diners, but when I get a bad one at a diner it seems less important. Our server wasn 't a horrible one, but he is definitely not up to snuff for a restaurant of this quality and level of dining. While not rude, he was really inattentive and lacked the general charm and overall skill of other waiters in a restaurant of this caliber. My wife received a response from the Bistrot management less than 24 hours later stating that they were aware of the problem and taking care of business as we speak. That, even more so than the food has decided me to return as soon as possible to this amazing restaurant. The delicious food, the dim, candle-lit table, the lovely stream of Sinatra and other related music, the loud murmur and clank and clink of diners enjoying their meals as much as ours transformed this evening past a fantastic romantic Valentine dinner to an experience we will remember for a long while. I truly recommend the 2010 Kaiken-Mendoza Malbec if you are having a beef dish like the perfectly cooked Wellington I ordered. Also, the Coquilles St. Jacques scallop entree was phenomenal. Sweet, big, and perfectly seared scallops and fantastic sauce, this dish had it all. The Polpettes Ala Napoletana was a dream as well. meatball app All dishes sauces and sides were first rate as well....A perfect evening to remember for sure.
We went here recently for my parents anniversary and the food was just fantastic! The only thing that kept this from being a five-star experience was there was one waitress in the entire restaurant the service was excellent, but super slow. They had a wonderful prefix menu that was reasonable with lots of choices. The prefix included wine so I chose a Spanish red wine that was just fantastic! My mixed green salad and dressing was just delicious The shrimp scampi over linguine was perfection. The chocolate cake for dessert was very good, but not made on premises. I would absolutely go back here in a second highly recommend it!
We have been to this place about 6 times. For special events like thanksgiving or just for a date night. Never disappointed. Stuff is amazing, food is different from most year-round places on the Cape. Charming atmosphere.
This is so a place trying to appear fancier and higher-ended than it really is. The patrons seemed to feel more important for being there, too. Snooty staff that were neither friendly nor knowledgeable about the menu were our first impression. The feeling we had was that they threw white tablecloths on the tables so they would appear more upscale than other restaurants in the area. The waiter literally scoffed at the inquiry if there was a children's menu. He also threw a look at me like I shouldn't have brought my 6 year old well-behaved daughter out to their restaurant at 6pm. I threw him back a look that said she's already smarter, more pleasant, and more polite than you. But enough of the unpleasant aura. The appetizers and main courses were very good. The desserts were terrible (ie the creme brulee was like scrambled eggs) The menu was nicely varied and the prices were fine, considering the food was very good. In summary, good food, annoying service, non-impressive restaurant.
