It's great to have this Texas BBQ legend here and not make the ride the original. Ordered a 2 meat combination with sausage, brisket and sides of potato salad and Mac and cheese. Everything was delicious. Brisket was super damp and even a burned end. The sauce is also a perfect compliment to both meats. Probably have eaten more, but this portion size was perfect. will be coming back soon

Sausage and brisket and sides! Oh, my! All right! I love this place. When I was a child 30 years ago, I began to go to the original situation in Elgin. I was a little discouraged from disposable plates, but decided to go old school and eat my food from butcher paper!

Beautiful building with well placed washbasin in the main area. The service was fast. The food tasted great. Very recommend the huge chopped brisket baked potato.

I loved eating. Brisket sandwich with meat so delicate that it melted in my mouth. No sauce required because the smoke ring was perfect and needs all taste breezes. Really good pinto beans, and dry lawn Slave without Chaos Mayonnaise running Slav. One of the best in ATX range.

Great place for a lone diner. You can order a smaller plate, 1/4 lb brisket, two sides, and iced tea. Perfect. The peach cobbler is good but I'll wait for the blackberry. Not sure what to order, get their daily special. The dining atmosphere is comfortable. The tall tables near the windows let you look outside or watch the crowd. I tend to go on weekdays, I don't know what the weekend crowd is like. I imagine it can get busy. There's seating outside with umbrellas for shade. Maybe in the evening...
