El Potrillo - Hutchinson

My friend brought me to this incredible place once again. The food is not only freshly prepared, with daily-made chips, homemade processed bark, and salsa made three days a week, but the ingredients are imported, with the guess being Mexico. This is as authentic Mexican as it gets. They also offer large 21oz margaritas and generous portions of food that you won't be able to finish in one sitting. The spinach enchiladas are absolutely delicious!

This restaurant is a polarizing spot for locals. With so many Mexican eateries in the city, it stands out. I find the portion sizes to be decent. The service is satisfactory for the price.

The service at this restaurant was outstanding, however both the interior and exterior could use a renovation. The food was good, with delicious salsa, but our orders were mixed up a few times. Overall, I would rate it between a three and a four, but leaning towards a four.

We met another couple there after 18 o'clock to have a few drinks then dinner and be caught on old times! we will surprise! it is more of a watering hole after work! so loud we couldn't even talk to our women, let alone the 8 man table they gave us instead of a four fool! the help was well coughed. from gal was very loud talking person. first I thought she was just a loud talker, but no! she is a Friday night regular and knows that they will start loud or the customers will never hear her! my eating was cold, never warmed up completely from the cooler, cold - I sent it back. they zapped it and brought it back, it was hot like lava! moral of the story? they stay out of el patri (Friday and Saturday night), anyway!

Good food, had several front of the house employees at our table throughout our visit, was nice to see the teamwork exhibited... definitely not something you see everywhere. Oh, and the chips and salsa brought to the table minutes after we sat down were very delicious...some of the best salsa I've had at any restaurant! Give them a try!
