My husband, little grandson, and I tried your restaurant for the first time Sunday. We were blown away from the quality of food, the care of the food prepper and your front waiting staff. Our four-year-old grandson immediately asked for pancakes and insisted that they have a happy face. I tried to explain to him that not every happy face has pancakes, but he was sure I must be wrong. Her cooking staff went far beyond the extra mile to find out how to successfully create a face on a fried piece of bread, and a fabulous work. My husband had the breakfast hash and he was thrilled that your red sauce would have inspired him to poetry if he was not a computer type. I had a pulled pork sandwich that was perfectly seasoned and cooked and the roasted potatoes that were also perfectly seasoned and cooked. I usually don't expect a page to be better than the main dish, but it was! The young man who took our order was so polite and helpful and made us very welcome, also about the point of order. We sat at the counter to see how the food was cooked and even the guys at the grill were friendly. Michaela, the server, was so delightful that the four-year-old is in love with her family. Exceptional Job Top Quality Service and Food!
I loved this place so much, I had to stop for breakfast two days in a row. I wrote this on my Facebook page: If you only drive HAPPEN through Hurricane West Virginia during breakfast time, and HAPPEN to long a gluten-free sweet potato and be pulled pork pancakes, you could stop HAPPEN from The Bridge Cafe Bistro. Maybe, instead you see a Hurricane hash, Six Buck Breakfast or a vegetable filled omelet. It's just for Brekkie. There are grass-fed beef hamburgers, free chickens, tacos, salads and grills for lunch. Two days a week are open for dinner. This is farm to table as it should be. Really. Fresh. No franchise. No chain. Only a charming Millennial couple that makes food and a life in a small West Virginia town. If you do it right, you can hang out with dogs and babies on their terrace.
Fat Patties and Fireside were defeated as the best burger place in the city. Granted Bridge Cafe has much more variety than just that, the Burger was excellent. Very happy with my meal. Will be back.
The bridge is hands down my favorite place in this area! Coming from someone who has a very serious gluten allergy food is not something I can normally enjoy, but this is not the case here! It is really awesome to go to eat and have so many delicious gluten-free options and do not have to worry about getting sick! The staff is always helpful and very friendly, I plan to support this amazing business as much as possible!
