Iron Nugget - Hurley

I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant. They offer a wide variety of wings to choose from and there are plenty of games and TVs to keep the kids entertained. The service was also excellent.

During our vacation in northern Wisconsin, my wife and I decided to try out Iron Nugget, a restaurant recommended by the hotel front desk. Despite a 30 minute wait on a Monday night, we were pleasantly surprised to be seated within 20 minutes. Our waiter was friendly and efficient, serving our drinks, salads, and bread promptly. Our entrees arrived in a timely manner and were delicious. I enjoyed the steak salad, while my wife had the chicken Alfredo pasta, which she found to be excellent. Iron Nugget is a family-friendly restaurant with a peaceful atmosphere inspired by local history. Although we may not pass through this area again, we would definitely return to Iron Nugget for a meal in the future.

This is the best food I have ever had! If you're searching for quick service, great prices, and amazing food, definitely give this place a try. I guarantee you won't be let down.

We went for the weekend and were told this was the only restraunt open in the area for dinner. We went and were sat right away. The service was fantastic. The entrees we ordered were not awesome. I ordered the chicken parmesan and the BF ordered some shrimp pasta dish but was informed they had run out of shrimp. The pasta for both of us was super bland and my chicken was incredibly salty. The winner in the dinner though was the croutons on the salad. Often times croutons are forgettable, but in this instance they were fantastic! I would go here again and ask for extra croutons for sure!

Big fan of the Iron Nugget! It's a true family business, and it shows. Have eaten here dozens of times over the last 40 years since I was a kid, and it was called Windjammer. (Was owned back then by the grandmother of the current owner). Now my wife and I always plan 1 of our dinners here whenever we are in town. The Gnocchi Salsiccia and Rustica are made fresh from scratch daily, and are 2nd to none, anywhere! Great sauces, fresh salads, and a delicious house-made ranch. My kids love the spaghetti and chicken tenders. They have great and unique cheese curds, and you should NEVER skip the Italian Fry. It was Grandma Irene's original, and it's fantastic! The restaurant is exceptionally clean, and loaded with amazing historic photos of the Hurley, the little town that most these days have never heard of, but was once notorious, and is absolutely LOADED with history. Portions are large, and the service is very attentive. This is truly a quality restaurant for a small town in the middle of nowhere. If you are staying anywhere in the area, plan a night out!
