Mason Dixon Bakery Bistro - Huntsville

This restaurant offers a vegan lunch option and a variety of vegan desserts. For those who are dairy-free but not vegan, the majority of the menu is also dairy-free. Additionally, everything on the menu is gluten-free.

This was my first visit to this restaurant. There is plenty of parking in the lot and the room is clean and spacious. They offer counter service and there is plenty of indoor seating available. All items on the menu are gluten-free. I tried their avocado toast with some modifications and found it to be tasty, though the portion size was small. I also had their vegan biscuit with vegan butter and strawberry jam, which was a good and filling option. Overall, I enjoyed my meal and would definitely return. They also have other options available such as vegan bread, cupcakes, and cake pops. This review has been updated from a previous review on May 17, 2024.

I went to this restaurant for breakfast and was disappointed by the lack of options for vegans. Vegetarians may have slightly more choices, but I personally only received a makeshift slider that did not justify the high price. The atmosphere was pleasant, and I liked the outdoor seating area, but I have not returned since and would not recommend this restaurant to any vegans.

Since moving into their new location they changed their menu and the vegan items they once had are no more. Basically you can get a salad, avocado toast without the egg or a veggie bowl which lacks in filling. They still have their vegan cupcakes which are wonderful but it’s very disappointing they got rid of their vegan items.

Great baked goods and also some great portobello patties. Would mostly go here for bakery items over lunch though.
