Big Bowl Thai Cuisine - Huntsville

We usually order take out from here and get a noodle dish. We absolutely love their drunken noodles so tasty! Their spice level is not always consistent on the drunken noodles. My husband loves spice and he always orders Thai Hot, but I feel like every other time he doesn't think it's hot. Today he didn't say Thai Hot and I think that maybe why today his wasn't spicy. Today I felt like trying something different. I ordered the Thai BBQ chicken lunch plate. I am not well versed in Thai food so I don't know if this is typical for Thai BBQ chicken, but it almost seemed like they braised the chicken in regular BBQ sauce. It wasn't bad, but definitely not what I expected. The skin was soggy and the meat was almost overcooked. I was craving some char on my chicken with a little crisp skin marinaded with a lime marinade. I was really disappointed in this one. My dish did come with fried rice. It was very plain with some pineapples chunks on top, but oh so good and well seasoned! I feel like it must have had msg in it. I loved it! The lunch menu comes with a small coconut soup and spring rolls. The soup is delicious and nice and tart. The spring rolls are a veggie spring roll so they are not my favorite, but a good veggie spring roll.

I'm somewhat of a Thai food enthusiast, or perhaps a discerning diner. One thing I'm certain of is that I can recognize excellent Thai cuisine when I taste it. I ordered Thai tea (no boba, unfortunately) and green curry. I managed to snap a picture of the Thai tea before finishing it all. However, as soon as the green curry arrived at my table, I was completely taken by its deliciousness. The overall experience was fantastic! The food was served quickly and fresh, the staff was friendly, and the atmosphere was clean and inviting.

Wow! We were blown away how delicious this food was for the price. It beats the more expensive Thai option in Huntsville and is somewhat more authentic. This is our new favorite restaurant. 10/10 recommend. I had the mild curry with chicken, amazing!

We had our first dining experience at Big Bowl Thai Cuisine and were pleasantly surprised! Both the food and service exceeded our expectations. The lunch menu featured the delicious house coconut soup and a fresh salad. The lunch box option was great, offering a choice of protein along with a California roll and rice. The Pad Thai with chicken was also tasty. I highly recommend trying the Thai iced tea! Conveniently located on University Drive near MidCity, there is plenty of parking available. They have both indoor and outdoor seating options. It seems they handle a lot of orders efficiently, as the service was friendly and prompt. I was impressed by how quickly our food arrived after ordering. We will definitely be back!

The staff were friendly and our food arrived quickly. I ordered the drunk curry noodles. While it wasn't outstanding, it was good and fairly priced.
