I highly recommend this restaurant! The staff is exceptionally friendly, and the food is delicious. I ordered takeout for lunch and found the prices to be reasonable, around $10–20 per person. Everything from the pecan pie to the ribs and jalapeño sausage, as well as the chopped brisket and potato salad, was excellent. I would rate the food, service, and atmosphere all at 5 stars. There’s plenty of parking available, and it’s all free. Overall, a fantastic dining experience!

One of the best dining spots in Huntsville! The BBQ and catfish are not only incredibly delicious, but the warmth of the people and the inviting atmosphere make it truly special. You’re greeted with a warm welcome as soon as you step inside, and the staff is exceptionally friendly, creating a family-like vibe. From the moment you arrive, you feel like part of the community. The conversations are lively, and everyone who visits seems like a local, even if they’re not. I had the pleasure of sitting near some Huntsville alumni, and it was heartening to see the diversity that makes our hometown so special, even back in those days. Benny J's is definitely my top recommendation. Treat yourself to a visit—you’ll feel right at home! And don’t forget to try the buttermilk pie!

Passing through Huntsville looking for somewhere to eat lunch. Google recommends this place as one of the top 10 places to visit so we gave it a try. Texas style smoked ribs, brisket, jalapeño sausage and chicken was awesome! French fries and potato salad sides were just as awesome as the meat. Over the top friendly staff were very polite, respectful, and provided great service. Price was very reasonable. Did I forget to mention desert? We ordered a slice of buttermilk pie to go and really enjoyed that as well. Definitely check this place out if your in Huntsville or close by.
