Jim's Steak Spaghetti House

My fiancé took me to this restaurant on our third date in 2017, and I absolutely loved the food. The owner was also very kind.

The only redeeming aspects were the French bread, which we enjoyed, and the coconut cream pie, which was tasty—though I could see myself finding a better one at Walmart. I didn’t try anything else, as I had already spent over $40 for two people, with more than half of that on the terrible spaghetti. The service was very good overall, with no complaints except for the woman at the cashier who was uncomfortable to interact with and quite rude to customers. Additionally, one patron felt it necessary to broadcast his loud phone conversation, which disturbed several diners, including myself. If you’re planning to visit for the famous spaghetti, I’d suggest looking elsewhere—I'm baffled by how they maintain such a reputation. As for parking, there are only about four spots available on the street, and they’re typically taken by customers of nearby businesses.

Ordered 1 pint and 1 quart of meat sauce for my grandson. He heated it for his pasta, it had an odor. He tasted it and it was spoiled. He contacted me to let me know, I in turn called jims. They did not want to make it right. They offered me a free meal the next time I came in. Who in their right mind would want to order more meat sauce after the first order was spoiled. The evening manager said she would have to contact her boss before she could do anything about it. I spent $27.39 and turns out it was just a donation to jims. Evidently they need the money and the restaurant isn't doing well or they would readily agree to a refund. Beware if u order just sauce for take out. There wasn't a date on either carton so how will they know how old it is.

Today, I tried the ribeye steak, accompanied by pickled beets, cottage cheese, and a side of spaghetti. To be honest, while the steak was tasty, it was clearly corn-fed and quite greasy, with about a third of it being fat. The spaghetti was decent as well, but the beef in the sauce was ground too finely, resulting in a somewhat mushy texture. The hostess at the door seemed a bit unfriendly, lacking a smile or warm greeting, but my waitress was friendly and attentive.
