Costa Coffee - Huntingdonshire

Opening hours are ridiculous. Open until 4pm Mon to Fri. 10 2 Saturday and Sunday. Visitors travel for miles to see relatives and can't get a drink!! Visiting is until 8pm. Why can't they open until then?

Although two flat whites were good and so was a lemon muffin, the Bakewell tart was over sweet and didn’t have even a hint of almond flavour anywhere. In 2018 I complained about the inability to have loyalty points added and here we are, 4 years later and the system still doesn’t work. If Costa can’t get their act together then there is little point in having a loyalty scheme. Wake up Costa!

The flat white I had was warm and in a take away cup even though I was drinking in. Yet again loyalty points could not be redeemed or awarded as the machine was broken, this is a common occurrence at this Costa. Even the member of staff who served me said that it was always breaking down. Isn’t it time Costa did something about it? This is the third time for me in the last six months and I’ve only visited three times in the last six months!

We called about lunchtime and although it was very busy, service was fairly quick. Good coffee, I see the prices are creeping up, with a fresh muffin. The only bugbear was that there wasn’t a single table cleared. I know they were busy but when customers are having to clear the tables to sit down, it does not leave a good impression.

I like Costa coffee normally but I was very disappointed with this one at the Treatment Centre. No proper cups only non-recyclable cups; no ability to add loyalty points; lukewarm coffee; only one member of staff on duty who was rushed off her feet. I never understand why establishments in hospitals have such unhealthy food. Now that the chain has been taken over by Coca-Cola, I only hope that this is not a portent of the future. Disappointing.
