Hickory Tavern - Huntersville

The restaurant has been nicely revamped, but the menu hasn’t changed much—it feels like the same old options. While it’s not bad, it could definitely be more exciting. The staff was excellent and the drinks were enjoyable. Making some updates to the menu could attract more customers, especially since the competition in the area is increasing.

I ordered the build-your-own salad, and I was impressed by the variety of ingredients available and the generous portion sizes. The service was excellent, and the restaurant maintained a clean atmosphere.

Food was good not great, took an hour to get our food after being seated. Restaurant was only like 1/3 full and it did not appear as if they were short staffed in the front of the house. I would not recommend going. (Oct 25 2022)

Attempted to have Dinner at Huntersville location, waiter was not friendly at all, could not answer questions in regards to the menu, stating he would have to check. We only got to order drinks and I was given cold coffee. The entire process up to the time we attempted to place our orders was over 20 minutes. In which we just decidedl to cut our losses and go somewhere else.

Out of the three Heart & Tacos locations I've visited, this one clearly stands out as the best. It offers the finest food I've experienced at any Heart & Tacos or similar bar-style restaurant. Everything was fresh and exceptional. I highly recommend this place for a meal and a drink!
