Casey's - Humboldt

I recently ordered a pizza from Casey's in Humboldt, IA, and it was quite disappointing. The bottom of the pizza was overly soggy, and the toppings were loose, almost like they were just placed on top of the crust. You could easily lift them off like a blanket. On top of that, the flavor was off. In the end, we decided to toss it out and make ham sandwiches instead.

I've stopped at this Casey's multiple times over the years while traveling between Ames and Spirit Lake (or Estherville) and back. It's approximately halfway, making it a convenient place to take a break for the restroom, grab a snack, and refuel. Located at a major intersection, it offers easy access and exit to your main route. It tends to be a busy spot, so patience is key as the dedicated Casey's staff serve their customers. This area is also one where it's best to blend in quietly, both in actions and words. For instance, during COVID, my partner Gayle and I wearing masks received disapproving looks and snarky comments from several maskless individuals. Nobody was going to tell them what to do, but I suppose we were somehow entitled to their opinions...

I absolutely love the new BBQ brisket pizza! I really hope they decide to keep it on the menu. My order arrived fresh and piping hot, and the delivery was right on time. The service was very friendly too!

What can I say we are very lucky to have a Casey’s here in Humboldt which gives us another decent pizza option. The Casey’s rewards program is a must have giving you money back on store items with every purchase. Plus you got to give a company credit that started in Iowa. Really I think their pizza is 3rd best in Humboldt and 1st best in bone-in Buffalo wings. I wish they’d have 91 here.
