I wrote my last review and decided to return a few more times, thinking they might have had an off day. On my second visit, I ordered the fish tacos and rice. The rice was delicious, but the tacos had too much bread, not enough fish, and were quite greasy. The next time, I decided to give the burger another shot (after soaking up some of the grease with a bunch of napkins). To my surprise, the burger was perfect! It was cooked to a lovely pink (they seem to order by color rather than the traditional rare-medium-well), and the fries were crispy and not greasy at all. They also had specials for watermelon feta and caprese salads, which I hope they keep on the menu – I’d love to try those on a warm day. I would really appreciate it if they could add a chicken Caesar or turkey wrap, and it would be great to see live music there too. I miss the live music and feel for the bands that are passionate about what they do. I’ll definitely give it another try.

It was a hot summer day at the beach, 98 degrees, and I was hoping for some lighter, healthier options like a turkey wrap or a chicken Caesar wrap. I would have loved to see a variety of salad choices, such as a watermelon feta salad, trendy rice bowls, and lighter side dishes like a side salad or coleslaw instead of fries. The only sandwich option available was a burger that was so greasy I needed multiple napkins, which weren't provided. They were in the restroom while my drinks sat untouched. I understand that life goes on, but I miss the old place, where there were plenty of easy sandwich and salad choices for lunch, a medium ambiance instead of staring at a wall, and the fantastic live music. I won't be returning.

On my next visit, I gave the burger another shot (thinking I could just request extra napkins to soak up the grease). To my surprise, the burger was fantastic! It was perfectly cooked with no grease and just the right shade of pink (they cook by color rather than the usual well-medium-rare). The fries were crispy and not oily at all. This led to a frustrating experience when I went to the restroom and came back to find my full drinks had been thrown out. I know things happen, but I really miss the previous restaurant, which had a great selection of light sandwiches and salads for lunch and a central bar to enjoy rather than just staring at a wall. Plus, the live music there was fantastic. I don’t think I’ll be returning.
