El Ambigu - Huelva

We stopped here to kill a few hour before our train to Madrid. In fact we nearly missed the train as the service was so slow. It took approximately half an hour for a waiter to approach us.We ordered prawns which had no flavour and there were very few on the plate. Getting our second order in took another half an hour (remember we were killing time with a heavy suitcase so did not feel like lugging it around). I ordered grilled tuna which was possible the worst tuna I have ever eaten in my life-it tasted what like what I imagine an old boot would taste like. My chips were practically uncooked. To be fair my my mother enjoyed her chicken. The waiters left all glasses and plates to accumulate on the table leaving us with a mountain of dirty crockery piled up. Finally the waiter didn't know how to work the card machine so I had to go to the bar to pay with card. I would NOT recommend this place at all.

We stopped for lunch at this huge restaurant and ordered a range of tapas. Although it wasn't that busy the waiter was quite slow and a bit dithery. He put our bottled water down then wandered off before coming back with a bottle opener and finally opening them. The food was alright, I was surprised how large the portions were.

Great location in town centre. Indoor section plus large outdoor street cafe. I had a really very delicious, frothy cappuccino sat in the warm sun watching the good people of Huelva. Very nice.

Hace aproximadamente un año que visitamos el restaurante El Paraíso de Gonzalo en Huelva (seguimos incluyendo toda nuestra información de Instagram en la web) y tuvimos una experiencia bastante buena. Se encuentra situado en una esquina de la Plaza de las Monjas, lo que hace que nuestra comida tenga vistas al Monumento a Colón o la recién inaugurada fuente. Antes de hablaros de la comida de El Paraíso de Gonzalo nos gustaría hacer mención especial al gran servicio que recibimos y que nos gustaría que fuese el estándar en hostelería (no podemos asegurar que sea el mismo hoy día). El Paraíso de Gonzalo cuenta con una amplísima terraza (diríamos que es de las más grandes de todo el centro de Huelva) y su carta es de marcado toque tradicional. Por tanto, tendrás chacinas, conchas, pescado, tapas frías (ensaladilla, pulpo o mojama entre otros), fritos y carnes. Nos sorprendió gratamente (por novedad) la Ensalada de bacalao y también la carne. De alta calidad y siendo un auténtico punto a favor que te la sirviesen en la piedra para darle el punto adecuado.

La ubicación de lujo,el local muy acogedor, la comida muy buena pedimos todos los platos al centro por probar varios platos, destacó el atún marinado , estaba exquisito, las almejas finas de lujo fresca y de cantidad bien, las cocochas de bacalao muy ricas y el wok de loco está riquísimo ,y los postres bien , la cuenta en calidad precios bastante bien, muy recomendable, espero que se ponga en poco tiempo al antiguo paraíso.
