Vasilow's Confectionery - Hudson

I found a wonderful place to stop while passing through on my way back to Albany from the Catskills. A very friendly woman was working there and provided quick service. Be sure to try the mookie bar!

You absolutely must visit this place! They have amazing homemade candy, including sugar-free options.

Delicious chocolate, especially the dark chocolate. Great customer service.

I inquired about the freshest items in the display case, and the staff member assured me that everything was fresh. I decided to buy three pieces of milk chocolate: one filled with raspberry cream, one filled with peanut butter pretzel, and the last one with toffee. However, the milk chocolate didn't taste like chocolate at all; it lacked flavor entirely, which is hard to describe. The raspberry cream filling was more like a hard marshmallow consistency. Overall, I was quite disappointed with my experience.

I have been to at least 50 chocolate shops around the country and Vasilow's has the best dark chocolate caramels I have ever tasted.
