Contribuiți la feedbackPleasant pub, friendly staff, good service. An impressive list of ales on offer. A little disappointing that the only food on the menu was pies: I last visited a Head of Steam pub some time pre-pandemic, and enjoyed a good and varied menu. That said, the pies were tasty.
Great range of ale, very friendly staff. No where better to be when you’ve missed your train!
Nice traditional pub, with a selection of railway memorabilia type decor. Good selection of beers. Friendly service. Exceedingly convenient when traveling by train. Generally fairly quiet most afternoons, can get very busy on Saturdays especially if there's a football game with Town. The rooms at the back are usually quieter. There's four rooms altogether, though only service at the front two. The only downside of the place, is it can be a little expensive.
This restaurant is situated in an ideal location, featuring four rooms dedicated to cask ales, craft beers, and ciders. Let's not forget about the food, which is provided by Pieminister. The deal of pie, mash, and a pint for £10.95 is simply unbeatable. The atmosphere is fantastic, with excellent service and friendly staff. The food and drinks are top-notch, making the whole experience even better. I even picked up a few beers to take home, benefiting from a 20% discount on everything. This place is definitely a gem that you shouldn't miss!
Another fantastic spot to enjoy a refreshing cold pint, especially convenient for those between train and bus connections. Due to COVID, they are offering a limited menu, but the options are delightful, including the famous minister's cake, which is also quite tasty. The friendly and knowledgeable staff are more than happy to help you find the perfect drink to match your taste.
