El Fogon - Huaral

This place is simply amazing. Every time I go to Peru, I must be here. The flavors are unique in various dishes such as Chancho al Palo(Roasted Pork), Cuy (Fried Guinea Pig) and Fried Rabbit. I never try the other dishes, but my family likes them too. There is only one problem that management can take care of: mosquitoes and flies. I was here in December 19 and December 2 and the mosquitoes left me a few traces in my legs and arms. If you are allergic, bring your repulsive spray. The flies (not many) are to your food the most time and do not let yourself eat comfortably, maybe fans/fans can help. In the USA, it is easy to fix this issue, and in Peru should be no exception. The service is improved from last year, and the waiters are friendly and fast. The food is always 5 stars and option for vegetarians are basic (salad, soup, rice and beans). I definitely recommend this place for anyone who wants to taste the best roasted pig ever.

I was there twice with a cousin Andrés with my friends. I love Chancho al Palo and Carapulcra. Recommended for everyone.

No regresaré, el sabor es bueno pero la espera es larga. Toman tu orden, no te informan que la comida se ha agotado hasta que preguntas. Pedí mi comida y me dijeron que no quedaba más. No volveré.

The place to eat when in Huaral. It's outside seating, you'll get portions that fill adults, great taste (especially the Chancho al cilindro I recommend) and the prices a adequate for a somewhat remote location. Good for any size of group and also families with children.
