Although portions are small, the variety of dishes allows for ordering more to share. We ordered shrimp fried rice, chicken rice noodles, Venus clams, crab meat with fried egg, and spinach for two people, which cost around 1100 baht. The restroom was clean enough and the restaurant is conveniently located near the night market.
I have been coming to Hua for 20 years, but this was my first time visiting this restaurant. The place is always busy whenever I come, and I was eager to try the food that I have heard so much about from reviews. I ordered the recommended dishes: the fried seafood (pad kee mao talay) was good, and the deep baked prawns with garlic (goong tod gratiam) was a great dish. The prawns were large and moist, with a delicious roasted garlic flavor. I also enjoyed the late peaceful morning glory, a classic Thai Chinese dish with a balanced taste. However, the stir-fried crispy pork belly with green beans and Thai curry paste was a bit dry and tough for my liking. The service was efficient, despite the restaurant being full. The drinks and ice were a bit pricey. Overall, I had a pleasant dining experience at this restaurant.
This is one of my favorite restaurants in Hua Hin. Since 1932, this establishment has been serving a variety of delicious Thai dishes such as seafood, duck, and pork. I highly recommend trying the jumbo prawns with crispy garlic and the spicy sour fish soup. The simple fried egg is also delicious. The restaurant is always busy, especially during dinner time.
Koti has been here since 1932. my wife has been here for 10 years (visited hua 3 or 4 times a year) and loves it. this is my first time. pork, fish, hull and bark Thai dishes of literally (almost) all species. 20 pages menu, I just got 6 or 7 pages. delicious food. very overcrowded during the meal. we came around 17 o'clock and it was empty to the happiness. manager (owner) very helpful and friendly.
This place has been opened since 1932. We went at noon and were literally their first customers. So if you want to skip the crazy queue at night, go for lunch. Ordered their stuffed crab shell, green curry roasted pork and stirred fried morning glory. The crab shells were stuffed full with pork and crab meat filling, coated with egg and then deep fried. The filling was dry and it took a bit of effort to pry them out of the shell. Taste was good but I had better in Kemaman Malaysia. The green curry roasted pork was not too spicy like most green curries. I wish the pork skin could be more crispy. The surprise of the day was the morning glory. An unimpressive dish but they managed to serve it just right. Not over cooked and the stems were crunchy even at the end. Lunch was Baht510 which was okay.
