Contribuiți la feedbackIt's been almost 6 months since our last visit and we thought we would give this restaurant a 2nd chance to redeem themselves since our last terrible experience with them. Unfortunately though in our opinion, although the customer service was slightly better than our last visit, it's still not enough to win us back as customers as it was still relatively poor.We came with 2 of our friends and sat in the outdoor area this time. After around 10 mins, a waitress finally came over to take our orders on a not so busy night. We ordered 4 meals, a rump steak, salmon fillet, and 2 pasta dishes. The food and drinks took another 30 mins to arrive, and although the food was decent, the portion sizes and the overall quality of the meal did not justify their relatively high prices.Given yet another poor experience, we will not give this restaurant another chance to win us back as customers again. One to avoid, as there are many much better Italian restaurants in the area.
A really nice unimposing restaurant onvthe exterior of Carnes Hill shopping mall. The chefs here treat food the way their nonas would..it is fresh flavoursome and reasonably priced. There is an inside dining room and a semi alfresco area that can be enclosed and heated in winter. The wait staff are pleasant and know the food options. I have made this one of my regular dinner spots.
Went to Il Vivo last night to celebrate my 30th Birthday & all I can say is thanks for ruining my night!!It was a Monday night & there was only 15 of us & the Restaurant wasn't very busy at all, with maybe only 4 to 5 other tables occupied. The night started off poorly taking 20mins for someone to come take our drink order. My mother had organised & paid for a beverage package for our guests & all night we continuously had to follow up on our drinks, which was absolutely ridiculous! A few times my guests had to approach some of the waitresses advising them that we had been waiting a while now for our drinks, can we please get some service, one waitress said whatever, which was quite rude.When it came to our meals the service got even worse. One waitress didn't even ask who was having the meals she had in her hands, she just dumped them on the table & walked off. One of my guests who is a vegetarian advised them of this when ordering her pasta, however when her pasta came out it had meat in it. I called the waitress back over & said my guest is a vegetarian & advised you of this when placing her order & you have served her pasta with meat. Instead of admitting & accepting their mistake the waitress back answered me & said you never requested this & tried to force the meal on guest. After being spoken to rudely by the waitress, my guest eventually got her correct meal. When it came to tea & coffee & everyone had received their order, a waitress came over saying here's the two Cappuccino's & hot chocolate! My guests & I advised her that no one had ordered them & still the waitress insisted that we had, & tried to force them on us & that's when I said "enough is enough! We just advised you that we didn't order them, so please take them away." Realising that the waitress had upset me, she then left taking the beverages we didn't order with her. When it came to finalising the bill, my mother & her best friend went through it first & realised, that they had charge us for items we didn't order - the two Cappuccino's, the hot chocolate & another pasta dish. Like what the hell!! They took the bill & went straight up to desk to make a formal complaint. I'm not sure of the out come as my guests, husband & I had had a gutful of such horrible customer service & left whilst my mother & her friend handled the bill.The only positive thing I could comment on was the food. So thank you chefs, all the meals were lovely. As for the waitresses you were extremely rude, not only towards myself, but also my guests which was completely unacceptable. Your customer service is incompetent & absolutely disgusting & you should be ashamed of treating paying customers this way.I would not recommend this place to anyone. Such horrible & disrespectful customer service.
I've been here several times before with a fairly decent view of the place. We came here for my daughters birthday and it wasn't overly enjoyable. We were seated and given time to view the menu. Then ordered drinks and food at the same time. The kids food came out pretty quickly but our drinks were nowhere to be seen. About 15 minutes after the first lot of food came out the drinks arrived, then the long wait until our mains. 45 minutes after ordering our food came out. The place was not busy with only I'd say 4 other tables occupied. We did however get a show of one of the waitresses snuggling up to what I assume was her boyfriend for about half of that time. Food was ok. Probably wouldn't order the seafood risotto again. It's a shame because the food has been so good there previously and the staff was quite good.
Had dinner here. The portions are quite large and filling. They are quite flavoursome and well presented. The staff are friendly and accomodating. The restaurant has seating both inside and out. We had the mixed grill and a calzone. they were more than enough to fill the hungry body. Overall, quite a nice meal.
