Lounges Modelo Lounge - Hove

Modelo is part of a group of lounge bar/restaurants in Britain. The decor is quirky and looks beautiful in the evening, with candles and lovely lighting. They offer a separate vegan menu along with a gluten-free one. As someone who is gluten-free, I checked both menus to see what was available. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I ordered the heirloom/fava bean dip with mint oil, roasted courgettes, sweet potatoes, and basil falafels. All the tapas dishes were nice—while not outstanding, they were certainly good. They provided a side of fries since they currently didn't have any gluten-free bread available. My dish was €8.75. My friend ordered the risotto but was not impressed; she found the rice to be lacking in flavor and the roasted vegetables were just placed around the edge of the dish. Despite that, I would still recommend the place—just don't expect an exceptional meal. My friend and I ended up staying all night; it was a comfortable spot to relax and hang out after our meal.
