Willie's Grill Ice House - Houston

I always love a grilled blackened chicken breast with a side of cream gravy and a double order of grilled mixed vegetables! It's my all-time favorite!

My order was incorrect. I requested no tomatoes on my burgers and asked for them to be fixed. When I later asked for ketchup for my fries, the manager remarked that it's basically the same. I explained that I simply can't eat whole tomatoes. Because of this experience, I will never return.

Typically, I have no issues with this restaurant, but today was an exception. The coleslaw was old and served at room temperature, while the tartar sauce was warm as well. The baked potato was lukewarm. Our server did replace the coleslaw and tartar sauce, but by that point, I didn't feel like bringing up the potato. Overall, it was a bit disappointing.

I've been coming here for 2 decades and today we had a slow waitress..didn't come for almost 10m...wasn't but half full. They didn't have soda machine working so filled out cups from liter bottles.. only 7up and coke. Fries tasted reheated and rubbery.

Great chopped steak although I miss the Heinz 57 sauce to put on it. They used to have it. The cream gravy is fantastic. Always order with mashed potatoes.
