This is, without a doubt, the best Indian dining experience in Houston. The atmosphere and ambiance were excellent—there were no overpowering Indian food smells, the service was impeccable, and the food was outstanding. My wife and I enjoyed the Ajwaini Paneer Tikka, Peshawari Tikka, and Achari Shrimps from the Tandoor. We also ordered the Chole Amritsari Curry, which was the best Chole I've ever had in a restaurant. We paired our meal with Naan and Laccha Paratha, both of which were the finest we've tasted in Houston. For dessert, I had the Kulfi while my wife opted for the Gulab Jamun, and both were fantastic. The whole experience was so delightful that I felt compelled to meet the chef, who is also the owner, to commend him on everything. It was a truly wonderful evening. This restaurant has become my go-to place for Indian food in Houston. It only took us four years to discover it (thanks to my wife!). We look forward to returning to sample more of the menu.
The restaurant was elegant, just as one would expect from the Montrose area of Houston. We kicked off our dinner with the Masala Chai and Pani Puri appetizer, both of which were delightful. The presentation of the Pani Puri was appealing, and the flavor of the water was spot on. For the main course, I opted for the Jackfruit Biryani (Catahal), a vegetarian dish I had been eager to try. The presentation was visually striking, and while the overall taste was good, the spices didn't quite meld with the Jackfruit as I had hoped. The accompanying Okra and Raw Mango vegetables offered an interesting twist and were quite tasty. For dessert, the Kulfi Falooda caught my attention. Its presentation was nice, and the Kulfi itself was excellent. However, I felt that the vermicelli noodles didn’t quite fit with the Kulfi, and I would suggest removing the Falooda component from the menu. Overall, it was a wonderful experience and a suitable spot for celebrating major life events. The food was delicious, the ambiance was pleasant, and the service was acceptable. Just keep in mind that it is on the pricier side.
The food presentations were fantastic! Each dish had its own distinct flavors. The drinks were also delightful, and the service was exceptional.
