The Backyard Richmond Ave - Houston

Wow, the bartender is incredible, and the tacos are out of this world! I would give it a perfect 10/10 and will definitely recommend it to all my friends!

The restaurant has a vibe similar to one I enjoy in Pasadena. They serve homemade tortillas, and the tacos are served plainly, but there's a station where you can add cilantro, onions, salsa, and a few other toppings. Plus, they have a lovely back terrace.

This restaurant has a lovely outdoor area that feels cozy, and the food is good too (unlike Dizzy Kaktus). My dish was still quite salty. I ordered the Sonora hot dog, along with fries, all for a reasonable price of $5.75. The flavor was enjoyable—sometimes unique, but still familiar. They also have a nice selection of flavored salsas at the salsa bar, which is a great touch because they provide tortilla chips at the beginning of the meal (and they are the good kind—real roasted tortillas). I definitely recommend this place to others!

This place has real potential. The food is good but they are just stingy with the meat on their tacos.
