Tampico Seafood Cocina Mexicana

My family and I have been here for over 15 years! We drive from south-east Houston to north! This place has amazing shrimps and fish fillet! They make the cocktail shrimp with this amazing sauce. I tried other places and it's not as good as the ones they use here. Some of the waiters are on the point, but there are times that we don't have good customer service like not refilling our drinks or for too long to check if we need something else than this is our place for seafood.

The red snapper and shrimp were excellent. The plate for two can feed 3 or 4. We could not finish it. It had just enough spice but not too hot.

Got the jumbo shrimp and scallops combo to go. The food was very tasty; the seafood was good. For my combo I chose fried rice, and it also came with a little salad, and bread, too. When I got here, there were 2 buildings with Tampico signs on them, but then with the help of a man directing traffic in the parking lot I found my way to the right location. Good meal!

I'm eagerly looking forward to my next trip to Houston just for this restaurant! I still find myself dreaming about the fish I had there. It's a must-visit place!

If you're a fan of French fries, you'll be amazed by how delicious they are at this restaurant! I absolutely love the fried fish here as well. The shrimp cocktail is also excellent.
