Studewood Cantina - Houston

The first time I came here, everything was amazing. The salsas are sooooo good. The elote was great and so was the Mexican pizza. Parking was easy there?s a lot across the street. Service was was great. The second time I went, the food was less impressive. The elote was much smaller and looked sadder. Service was still great. Will still go back again to try some other dishes.

I really tried to like this place multiple times. For the highlights, the crispy tacos, great quality hand made tortilla or if you want the regular kind they were amazing as well. The happy hour prices for margaritas were hard to beat because if the Astros were playing the margaritas were five dollars. Hard to find that price in the heights for a good margarita. For the down fall, the service was horrible. We originally believed it had to be a one time deal, maybe theywere under staffed. Nope, we realized they were all standing together. It took them forever to even to get someone to initially talk to us for our orders, never checking on us to refill our water or would we like another margarita, orsomeone to refill our chips. Having this issue all three visits I can't say I would come back.

My brother put me on to this place and I'll soon be a regular! Also, it passed the green enchiladas test. Maybe even bumped my number one place for them lol they were REALLY DELICIOUS! and the cheesecake?! ???????? so smooth and creamy.

Food was bland. Charged $60 for fajitas when the menu said $55. Margaritas were average at best and they were $14 each. Goode Co and El Tiempo much better for the money.

I have been here several times to try and give this place a chance but each time has been worse than the prior. The service was incredibly slow, food was subpar, and price of the meal ridiculous for what we got.
