I've been a soutwells fan my entire life. They have been in operation nearly 40 years and are a houston staple. My first job was at the memorial location in high school! : For those that have lived near one of the locations for any length of time knows southwells is the neighborhood go-to for good food at any time of the day thats delicious and affordable!! When I think of what a burger (or chicken sandwich should taste like, southwells is what comes to mind. What I appreciate most is how the food isn't greasy and they don't drown it in condiments. The meat is always hot, the buns are always warm and toasty, and the veggies are always cool and fresh, and overall the sandwiches are the perfect size. I've never walked out disappointed with my order! I'm a fan of order-at-the-counter restaurants and southwells steps it up a level by bringing your food to you at your table so you don't have to listen to an annoying loud speaker calling out orders while you eat. The staff is always very friendly and the orders move qiluick (even at its busiest you won't wait more than about 10 minutes for your food to come out The prices are only about a dollar or two more than whataburger and much less than all other restaurants in the area. I rotate between the regular cheese burger and the chicken supreme ??? the waffle fries are where it's at (be sure to ask for a side of the homemade ranch to go along with it!! You won't be disappointed!!!

I stopped in for the first time on a Saturday afternoon. There was only one person in line before me and several others already in the dining room eating . I ordered a bacon cheeseburger and waffle fries to go. The food was ready in about 10 minutes. I requested a few small modifications which were fulfilled with no issues. The bacon was cooked crispy which I like. So many other restaurants serve you undercooked bacon on burgers. The burger was decent but didn?t have a lot of flavor. Good portion size. Fair prices.

Neighborhood Favorite. Great burger for $7 bucks plus a side of onion rings (Just great rings ? $3. Ordered the Blue Cheese burger and my partner the Hickory Burger with mushrooms and grilled onions. Both burgers were good size for the price. Soft buns, juicy but not to juicy and out well together. Onion rings were on point. Even better when dipped in their BBQ sauce (sweet and tangy, nice zing to it The cashier was friendly, well mannered. Took some food to a old couple in there car. (Was sweet of him ?
