Pho Hoang - Houston

Always good pho. we forget the other courts they have and have to try. I was a little disappointed about the chicken curry, but it was because I had the wrong expectations. the photo in the menu looked like it was a plate of creamy chicken curry like what I had in Indian restaurants. Instead, it was a cured Pho soup. it was good, just not what I expected.

When I first tried this restaurant I absolutely loved them. The broth was perfect, they made it exactly how I wanted. Idk when it happened but the broth progressively has gotten worse. The smell of it as well is pretty bad. This is the 3rd time this has happened.I ended up just using my own broth in place of this. But the taste and smell was still on the vegetables. As you can see with the pictures it smells and looks like dish water. This is unacceptable to serve. I’m really disheartened but we will no longer be ordering from this restaurant.

Friendly staff and good food. I'm not a fan of the spongy thin vermicelli but once I started that they fixed it right away.

I use to love this place. I've been coming here for years, but I'm not happy with them anymore. First of all, they changed the lunch menu to be priced higher than the dinner menu, which just seems sneaky. Lunch menus are always priced less because the portions are smaller. They understand this and flipped the pricing to take advantage of this assumption. I ordered the dinner plate instead thinking even if it didn't have soup and an egg roll that it would still be satisfying, but the portion was so small it was ridiculous. For a $13 lunch tip I left still feeling hungry.

Don't come eat here. I ordered curry chicken and they handed me a soup with either one some QUESTIONABLE past expiration chicken or it was duck. Not chicken. When I pointed it out, the language barrier didn't help, but she said. Oh no that's potatoes. No ma'am.
