Pappas Bros. Steakhouse Galleria

I brought my friend here for his birthday, and our incredibly lovely waitress surprised us with a complimentary dessert, which was a delightful touch and showcased excellent service! (I can't recall her name, but she was a tall blonde with a warm personality and very attentive.) I really appreciated the variety on the menu; there were many more options compared to other steakhouses we've visited. I highly recommend the duo filet and the mac and cheese!

This is still my favorite steakhouse in Houston, despite the influx of new steakhouses and dining options in the city. The food and service here are truly exceptional. Although we had a reservation, we had to wait a bit to be seated, but the staff was incredibly apologetic and treated us to complimentary crab cakes, fried shrimp, and an enormous slice of cheesecake for dessert. The steaks were tender like butter, the wedge salad was fresh and crisp, the mac and cheese was decadently creamy, and the skillet potatoes were soft on the inside with a perfect crisp on the outside. I was born in Houston, and Pappas Steakhouse opened its doors in 1976 when I was just 14, back when the Houston metropolitan population was a third of what it is now. This remarkable steakhouse has never faltered; in fact, it just keeps getting better.

My family and I dined at Pappas for my brother and my birthday. The whole experience was great and the food was delicious! Our server was wonderful as well. We will definitely be back.
